Аннотация

Drying and cooling of some materials requires heating the material to 80°C and cooling
the material to 10°C blown through the material layer in order to reduce its moisture content.
The use of a heat pump for drying and cooling capillary-porous material has a number of
advantages over existing methods. The maximum heating temperature of the drying agent is
determined by the conditions for preserving the quality of the material during prolonged
contact with the drying agent, and the cooling air temperature is determined by the conditions
for increasing the duration of its storage, as is the case with drying and cooling using a heat
pump. Heat pumps also allow utilizing secondary energy resources of chemical enterprises, to
create rational schemes of integrated use of heat and cold obtained in drying units. Research
in recent years in the field of material drying has been focused mainly on the intensification
and optimization of material drying processes. Cooling the material for temporary
preservation before drying, as well as the problem of cooling the material after drying, was
given much less attention. Along with this, the practical application of this method revealed
certain disadvantages of the fluidized bed, the most significant of which are the intensive
bubbling of gas bubbles, dust formation and dust entrainment, uneven distribution of the
residence time of the material particles in the layer and, partially, the gas.
